Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is proud of its established tradition of graduating well-prepared general practitioners of dentistry. As the only dental school in Illinois outside Cook County, and the only dental school within 250 miles of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area, the SIU dental school also fulfills a definitive need for oral health care for central Illinois, southern Illinois, and the greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area, especially the Metro East. Through the care provided at our Main Clinic in Alton and our Community Clinic in East St. Louis, as well as through our community outreach programs, we continue to meet the oral health needs of our community.
