University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry

Now in its second century, the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry has a proud history of providing exceptional dental education and service to the community of Lincoln, the state of Nebraska, and the Great Plains region.

The College offers training in the D.D.S. program, a B.S. degree in dental hygiene, and postgraduate training in the dental specialties of endodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and periodontics, as well as a general practice residency. Our D.D.S. classes typically have 45 students and dental hygiene classes 24 students (20 in Lincoln and 4 in Scottsbluff-Gering). The relatively small class size fosters close interaction among our students and between students and faculty. More than 60 dedicated full-time faculty are involved in our educational and research programs. The UNMC College of Dentistry provides a strong clinical education based on sound scientific research.

Because the College is located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and is affiliated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, we enjoy the benefits of both campuses and are involved in both communities.
